The CFC Legal Clinics offer free legal assistance to low-income, underserved residents of Ventura and North Los Angeles Counties. All of our services are provided free of charge because of a unique all-volunteer Legal Team model in tandem with a core of dedicated donors who care about people shut out of the legal system.
CFC’s Legal Clinics are comprised of 16 private practice attorneys who give rare opportunities for free legal advice and guidance. These professionals contribute their personal time and legal expertise because of the concern they share with us about unaffordable, inequitable access to legal assistance. To date, approximately $30 million dollars in pro bono legal services have been donated to our clients by our volunteer attorneys since our program’s inception.
Our Legal Clinic has positive relationships with the local judicial system and with the Ventura County Bar Association. The CFC helped the VCBA develop its Legal Aid Program in 2015, and in 2018, the VCBA became an official sponsor of our program for the first time.
If you have children or teenagers experiencing anxiety or depression because of your family situation, or if you are interested in family counseling as a whole, please see our Community Counseling Resources.
These efforts are supported in part by a grant from the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Foundation.
